A message from our CEO

All of us at the Flevopoort Media Group are appalled by the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25th. What makes us sad is that his story is not the first, but it should certainly be the last.

We condemn the constant police brutality, racial injustice, and discrimination not only in the US but across the globe. This should never have happened, and we hope that the former police officers involved will be prosecuted and held accountable for their actions.

We believe that all citizens of the world are equal, regardless of race, gender, age, size, disability, religion or sexual orientation.  We are all human beings and should feel comfortable to be ourselves at all times. We should not be forced into not being ourselves by adhering to certain social expectations of others.

I founded Flevopoort on the philosophy of inclusion rather than exclusion. On a single set of human values which we all live by every day. Treating everyone how you want to be treated yourself, choosing empathy over judgement, and having respect and appreciation for diversity. Really caring for our customers, colleagues and the communities we are lucky to be a part of.

After founding Flevopoort, this month exactly five years ago, the journey since has not come without our own challenges and learnings. Our corporate culture and decisions have been challenged at times, yet we have learned that sticking to our values regardless of the circumstance is the only answer.

As a global community of like-minded citizens, we must now strive to bring about meaningful change. We stand by everyone who has been affected by injustices. We commit to doing everything in our power to listen, learn, educate, and most importantly, act.

On behalf of everyone at the Flevopoort Media Group,

Michael Langley

Founder & CEO
